They Broke the Game Trying to Fix It; Now They Can't Release an Update [UPDATE]
The developers of Tom Clancy's The Division 2 have announced that they have been forced once again to delay the start of the next season of online gameplay. The reason for this is a bug in the latest update, which was supposed to fix the previous problem.
Ubisoft has successfully completed the first stage of repairing the update system, as announced on Twitter. We should expect exact news about the release of Season 11 soon, and we also know that players can expect compensation within the game.
Last week, in an effort to fix a localization issue, Ubisoft halted the start of the 11th season of online gameplay in The Division 2. The problem, however, is that (and this is where you have to focus really hard) while patching this bug in the translation update system, the update broke the entire update system. As a result, the developers have to fix the update system to update the game. The team took to Twitter to explain this unfortunate situation.
Despite the rather bizarre outcome, it is worth commending the developers for choosing to clearly and openly present the entire incident. The above case emphatically shows how complicated an undertaking it is to create games and then update them. Let's hope that Ubisoft will deal with the problems as soon as possible, so that players can finally start more online games in The Division 2. If you're a fan of the shooter, keep a close eye on the game's Twitter, because at any moment the developers may announce that the situation has been brought under control.
Finally, let us remind you that we were supposed to learn a little more about Reign of Fire, which is the 11th season of online fun in The Division 2, during the scheduled Ubisoft presentation on February 6. Unfortunately, the aforementioned trouble forced the developers to change the plans.
