Ubisoft Announced Tom Clancy's Xdefiant

Today at 11 AM PT Ubisoft announced a new game. It's the F2P online FPS Tom Clancy's Xdefiant.

Update:

As announced this morning, Ubisoft has revealed a new game. The production will be titled Tom Clancy's XDefiant. It is being developed by the company's branch located in San Francisco. As we expected, it will be a multiplayer-oriented F2P FPS. The game is still in development, but you can already sign up for testing, which will begin on August 5, 2021.

Original message:

Ubisoft announced on Twitter that today at 11 AM PT it will reveal a brand new game signed by the famous writer of thriller novels, Tom Clancy. It will be a first-person shooter reminiscent of The Division series - below you can see a short gameplay provided by IGN.

At this moment we do not know the full title or details of the upcoming production. However, it may turn out that we are dealing with the project BattleCat, which was leaked at the beginning of June. Rumors suggested an FPP title that will focus on multiplayer mode and will combine several universes created by the French devs, known from series such as Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon or The Division. A crossover of sorts may also be suggested by the "X" appearing in the logo presented on the teaser in the place of the usual apostrophe next to Tom Clancy's name (see screenshot above).

There's no need to speculate, however, since we'll get to know the details in about eleven hours. Presentation of Ubisoft's new game can be watched below.
