Ubisoft Goes Against the Tide and Saves Gamescom 2022
Ubisoft has announced that it will be attending this year's gamescom.
This year there was no E3, even in virtual form, but many publishers presented their games in a variety of events designed to replace the fair. Among them, however, Ubisoft was missing. Now the company has confirmed its presence at this year's gamescom.
For now, the publisher is not ready to reveal details about what exactly it will show there. We expect, however, among others. Skull and Bones, which, according to recent rumors is to have its first presentation in a long time in early July. We can also expect demonstrations of Ubisoft's upcoming online shooters, namely XDefiant and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Frontline. There should also be a presentation of development plans for already released games.
We also hope that the company will show something about Assassin's Creed Infinity and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Remake, but in the case of these productions it is difficult to assess the chances of it happening. It seems that we shouldn't expect on anything related to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, as the game was recently taken away from the developers from the Indian branch and handed over to Ubisoft Montreal, so we'll probably have to wait a long time for its release.
Recall that this year's gamescom will take place on August 24-28 and will have a traditional, physical format, although a number of online demonstrations will also be organized in parallel. The presence of Ubisoft certainly pleased the organizers, because this year many giants of the industry abandoned the fair, including Sony Nintendo, Activision Blizzard and Take-Two. Participation has been confirmed by Bandai Namco and Embracer.
