Two Worlds II to get an expansion seven years after the game's release
2010 action-RPG Two Worlds II is getting another expansion next month. The Call of the Tenebrae DLC is going to introduce a new story, which is to provide about 10 hours of gameplay.
German company Topware Interactive has announced that May 25, 2017 will be the release date of Two Worlds II: Call of the Tenebrae, the next story-based expansion for the warmly-received Polish action-RPG Two Worlds II. The interesting thing is that the game was published almost seven years ago – back in 2010. The original development studio went bankrupt in 2015, after which Reality Pump became Topware Interactive’s subsidiary. A year later the publisher revealed its plans for the future development of the series, which included two expansions for the sequel and a full-fledged third part.
Two Worlds II: Call of the Tenebrae will have the original’s hero witness his friend murdured by a rat-like race, which is going to set in motion a chain of events that will bring a horrific, ancient evil (the eponymous Tenebrae) upon the realm of Anatloor. This new adventure is said to offer 10 hours of gameplay. Find out more about its content on the add-on’s official website.
Another DLC, entitled Shattered Embrace, is scheduled to launch in Q4 2017. As for Two Worlds III, in 2016 the publisher estimated that the game would be in works for about three years, which means we should probably expect it out in 2019 at the earliest.
