Total War: Warhammer May Get a TPP Action Game Spin-off
Creative Assembly is looking for people to help with their new title. We can expect a fantasy TPP action game, set perhaps in the Warhammer universe.
The latest announcement from Creative Assembly was received rather coldly. However, the British developer is also preparing another production. The creators of the Total War series are working on a TPP action game, possibly set in the Warhammer universe.
Total War: Warhammer TPP?
We learned about the project through job offers posted on Creative Assembly's official website. The developer is looking for, among others, artists who will be responsible for creating a "vast fictional fantasy world".
The announcement about the search for a lead concept artist also includes an interesting optional requirement for candidates.
Here's the thing, Creative Assembly would find it advantageous if those applying for the position were familiar with Total War games. This applies in particular to the Total War: Warhammer sub-cycle.
So it is possible that the new game will be a spin-off of TW, maintained in the convention of a TPP game powered by Unreal Engine 5, with melee combat as the main attraction. These details are revealed in the job offer for senior combat designer.
We do not have confirmation that all the announcements refer to a single game, but each refers to employment at the CA Sofia branch in Bulgaria. So it's safe to assume that they are about the same project.
Hyenas is not the end of live-service games for Creative Assembly
There is another significant piece of information in Creative Assembly's latest announcement. The studio is said to look more favorably on candidates with experience with live-service games.
So we shouldn't expect a strictly single-player adventure, although - of course - for now we can only guess about the exact form this unannounced project. For the time being, it's better to wait for the debut of Creative Assembly's already revealed project, which will show how the British developer will handle the live-service game concept.
