Creative Assembly announced the end of support for Total War : Three Kingdoms. The last update for the game is now available and the development team has moved on to a new project, which will reuse the Three Kingdoms era setting.
In the two years since the release, Total War: Three Kingdoms received several patches and seven paid expansions that enriched the basic version with new factions, scenarios and gameplay mechanics. The latest patch 1.7.1 concludes the game's development, bringing the final bug fixes to the campaign, AI behavior and user interface.
Creative Assembly revealed that the next installment of the Total War series has been in pre-production for some time now and it will once again use the era of the Three Kingdoms in ancient China. Unfortunately, not much was revealed about it. The sequel is supposed to open new possibilities for the team and allow for the creation of an amazing world. We're supposed to find out more about the game in some time, although due to the upcoming release of Total War: Warhammer 3 we may have to wait a bit longer.
