Titanfall 2 Sets New Record on Steam Thanks to Apex Legends and Discount
With the upcoming release of Apex Legends Season 9, which features some references to the Titanfall series, and a sale on Steam, the shooter Titanfall 2 is setting new popularity records.

As the stats collected by SteamCharts show, the shooter Titanfall 2 from Respawn Entertainment enjoys exceptional popularity recently. At the best moment of the last 24 hours, the title was played by 16,958 players, which is a record result in its nearly five-year history.

Two factors contributed to this success. First, the next season of the free-to-play shooter Apex Legends will debut soon. The game is a spin-off of the Titanfall series and the new season features some clear references to the second installment of the latter. Secondly, Titanfall 2 has is now 75% off on Steam, being available for less than $9.
As you may remember, Titanfall 2 was released on October 28, 2016 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
