There are also some new buildings and lethal toys for destruction enthusiasts.
Timberborn Update 5 – Badwater
Update 5 brings a new feature, called Badwater, adding extra changes to the game’s water system. Just like normal water, Badwater possesses currents, flows across the landscape, fills basins, and interacts with dams. When it meets a regular river, the two types of water mix, causing pollution in the good water. Badtides is a new in-game season, that may trigger instead of droughts, leading to the flow of the Badwater from all Badwater Sources.
Badwater sources are presented as a large cracks in the ground, that spew out the chemicals, regardless of the season.
Badwater gradually reduces the irrigation range of polluted water bodies and contaminates nearby terrain, causing plants to wither and die. It also reduces the water pump efficiency and poses a big threat to beavers, which can become Zombeavers after a long exposure.
But there’s always a silver lining. Badwater can be turned into an extract, used to create two new, more explosive Dynamite variants, and in Dirt Excavators. This extract, when used in a new Breeding Pod variant, can produce adult Iron Teeth. Furthermore, Badwater can power up water wheels as same as normal water.
