Lamenting Underground is one of the key locations in Throne and Liberty. To enter it, you need to go through Paola’s Dimensional Circle and visit a certain dungeon. Unfortunately, some players have encountered a frustrating bug when they can't progress this side quest. Read on, if you want to find out what is the problem, and don’t forget to check out our Throne and Liberty Guide & Tips.

Throne and Liberty – How to finish the quest with Paola’s Journal in Lamenting Underground

If you’re unsure how to find the Lamenting Underground, it can be accessed through the Temple of Roar, which becomes available once your character reaches level 30.

The quest involving Paola’s Research Journal is relatively straightforward – you need to finish all of its objectives including locating the book and defeating the boss. However, there seems to be a recurring issue with it. Some people report that they are unable to pick up the journal, or the quest does not register as complete even after finishing it. Rest assured, it’s not a mistake on your part; the quest is simply a bit glitchy. If you skip certain steps but have already defeated King Chimaerus, it might remain incomplete.

You can try re-entering the dungeon through the interface matching system instead of using Paola’s Dimension Circle to complete this mission, though success isn’t guaranteed. Until the developers fix this issue, this may still show as incomplete in your quest log.
