This App Removes an Annoying Feature From CSGO
Accidentally clicking the right mouse button in CSGO while holding the M4A1-S can be annoying. Sticky Silencer rules out such an option and, importantly, you won't get a VAC for it.
Have you ever happened to accidentally click the right mouse button when having an M4A1-S in your hand in Counter Strike Global Offensive? If so, then you certainly know the pain of activating the silencer removal animation. Fortunately, one CSGO player has decided to remedy this.
A simple solution
Sticky Silencer, as the program in question is called, is currently only available for Windows, although the developer does not rule out releasing it for other operating systems as well.
As you might guess, the app disables the ability to remove the silencer when using the M4A1-S, USP-S and MP5-SD.
In addition to downloading Sticky Silencer, you also need to add the -netconport 2121 command in the launch options for CSGO. To access it, simply right-click on the CSGO in your library, then select Properties and the General tab.
It's a good idea to do this when the game is off, as it will require a restart anyway.
How does Sticky Silencer work?
The app limits itself only to changing the assigned keys in the game. When the player is holding an M4A1-S, USP-S or MP5-SD, the "mouse2" button is unbinded to prevent the suppressor from being removed.
When we change the weapon to one that does not have a silencer, the "mouse2" command returns to its previous form, i.e. "bind mouse2 + attack2".
However, the creator mentions that Sticky Silencer sometimes takes a while to take off. Therefore in some matches you will still be able to remove the silencer for the first 20-30 seconds.
Is it possible to get a VAC for Sticky Silencer?
The answer is simple - no. As CrackenDev writes in his post zooming in on how the app works, Sticky Silencer is safe and you won't get a VAC for using it (well, unless someone uses cheats on the same occasion).
All the elements used to create the program are part of CSGO. Here we mean both netconport and Game State Integration, which sends information to the program about the weapons used by players.
Nevertheless, although you can safely use Sticky Silencer while playing matches in CSGO, you won't be able to use the application in Faceit and (most likely) ESEA matches. The latter company has not responded to CrackenDev's inquiry about the legality of the software.
In addition, CrackenDev is open to suggestions on other changes that can be made to CSGO. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share them in the comments under "user manual" of Sticky Silencer.
