The Witcher World in Civ 6 Expands; Aedirn Available for Download
The third faction has been added to The World of The Witcher. This time it is Aedirn. Additionally, three new city states have appeared.
The World of The Witcher grows bigger. The ambitious modification for Civilization 6 received another, third faction - Aedirn. Players can take on the role of King Demaved III and conquer the Continent.
Aedirn highlights
As befits each faction and its ruler, Aedirn and Demaved III also have their own unique abilities. Their descriptions can be found below.
- King's unique ability - The dispute over Upper Aedirn. Helps Demaved regain his lost power. He gains +10 to combat power and +100% to production for all cities during the first 10 turns after another faction declares war on Demaved.
- Aedirn is located in the valley of the Pontar River. This area is the best and richest region on the Continent, and Aedirn is able to exploit this perfectly. All Farms and Plantations gain +1 food when located next to a river, all Mines and Quarries gain +1 to production when located next to mountains, and all Strategic Resource upgrades gain +1 to production.
- Demaved has ordered Aedirnian Special Forces to take out Scoia'tael troops in nearby forests. The Aedirnian Special Forces replace the Scouts, have a range of 2 hexes, and create a zone of control. Due to their training they gain +7 to strength and +50% XP when fighting Barbarians and city-states.
- The unique district of Aedirn - Aedirnian Industrial Center. This is the place where all the goods from all over the country are gathered to produce the best quality items. Unlike the Industrial Zone that the Industrial Center replaces, it does not receive a bonus for its proximity to other districts, but instead receives a bonus of +2 to production for each adjacent Mine, Quarry or Sawmill.
Lyria, Rivia and Dol Blathanna
Similar to Temeria, the Aedirn modification also introduces other city-states - Lyria, Rivia and Dol Blathanna. The first of these is a cultural metropolis, while the other two are industrial.
- When you are the suzerain of Lyria, all districts gain +1 to tourism for each attractiveness level if they are adjacent to a Farm, and if you are the suzerain of any industrial city-state, all your Farms gain +1 production.
- When you are a suzerain of Rivia, all districts gain +1 to production for each attractiveness level if adjacent to a Farm, and if you are the suzerain of any culture city-state, all your Farms gain +1 to culture.
- When you are a suzerain of Dol Blathanna, all unimproved Forests and Rainforests gain a bonus of +1 to Culture if their attraction level is Enchanting or higher. It is also possible to use Faith to purchase a unique unit of Elven Commandos, who have a special advancement tree and gain extra power over eras with the Reserve and its buildings.
