The Witcher 2 - Polish Fan Creates Mod With Textures Improved by AI
Polish modder hub997 developed a pack of improved textures for CD Projekt RED's The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The modification uses 2K/4K scaling and artificial intelligence to improve the appearance of characters and monsters.
Polish modder called hub997 created a package of improved textures for Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. They have been adapted to 4K (for main characters and monsters) and 2K (for NPCs and animals) resolutions by using scaling techniques and artificial intelligence to eliminate imperfections.
AI Upscale Textures mod requires 2 GB of disk space. You will also need to copy a special settings file. You can find all this on NexusMods. In the future, the creator also plans to deal with the remaining textures of the second Witcher - those decorating, among others, objects, weapons, buildings, walls and vegetation. We will most likely also receive optional pack of better quality.
Below you will find a comparison of the game with the mod and without it. The effects of the modder's work can be quite subtle, although sometimes they are clearly noticeable.
