For some time now, we have known that Blizzard Studios will introduce the Spiritborn class in the Vessel of Hatred expansion for Diablo 4. Now the developers have announced a stream during which we will finally see the new class in action.

  1. The stream will take place on July 18th, which is next Thursday. The stream will start at 11AM PT.
  2. During the event, we will watch gameplay with this class and listen to the developers talking about its gameplay mechanics and storyline background.

Let's remind that Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred is set to debut on October 8th this year, simultaneously on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5.

Spiritborns are members of the ancient Nahant civilization, and their fates will be intertwined with ethereal spirits. The class is supposed to be able to switch between physical attacks and those using elemental powers.

It's worth mentioning, that the Spiritborns didn't appear in any of the previous installments of the series, so players are counting on fresh experiences. The devs admitted that they were a little afraid of adding this type of character, but they were reassured by the warm reception of the Blood Knight and Tempest (also two completely new classes) in Diablo Immortal.

Meanwhile, fans have been asking for the addition of a paladin to Diablo IV for quite some time. The developers confirm that they aren't ignoring these voices, but currently, they don't have any plans, and the Spiritborn was selected as the new class because it suits the realm we will be exploring in Vessel of Hatred.

Diablo 4 was released on June 6, 2023, simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is available on Game Pass both on PC and Xbox.
