Yesterday, the expansion for The Sims 4, titled Paranormal Stuff Pack, made its debut As it turns out, the pack met with warm reception of the community, which praises the new furniture and is pleased with the return of Bonehilda.
Yesterday, the first stuff pack for The Sims 4 - Paranormal - hit the market. As its name suggests, it introduces to the game many elements associated with ghosts and other supernatural phenomena. The first voices of the community suggest that this time EA has met the expectations of fans.
What does the pack introduce?
Paranormal significantly expands interactions with ghosts. Accessories add a new plot type - Haunted House - which is a home to many supernatural beings. There's also an option to perform a spiritualistic séance, which helps get rid of unwanted residents and enables us to summon the helpful spirit of Guidry or the undead maid Bonehilda (also featured in The Sims: Makin' Magic and The Sims 3: Supernatural). The DLC also introduces a medium skill, a career as a paranormal detective, and new clothes and furniture.
In addition, an update was released a few days before the launch of the pack, which introduced a new emotion - fear - and fixed several bugs appearing in the game.
Community reactions
After the add-on's release, on subreddit dedicated to The Sims sprouted many entries posted by people who have already had the opportunity to try the DLC. Reviews are surprisingly positive. The community especially liked the furniture that appears in the addition. Immediately, the first arrangements using these objects are already available.
Equally popular is the character known as Bonehilda. This unusual maid, due to her eccentric behaviour, has gained a large group of fans. In Paranormal Stuff Pack, she still has her peculiar approach to life (or after-life, if you prefer), which definitely suits the community.
Paranormal Stuff Pack has also already been used for first fan project. Elise Favis from Washington Post has published an extensive piece on how she recreated the game Phasmophobia in The Sims 4 using the new supernatural content.
The Sims 4: Paranormal can be purchased on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PS5
