I think everybody knows that the new expansion for The Sims 4 doesn't look and run like it should. My Wedding Stories is plagued by numerous bugs which spoil the gameplay and make the game more enjoyable without the DLC, according to many people.
Bugs are not the only problem of the expansion. It also suffers from a lack of content. Players very quickly noticed that the DLC does not allow the sims' pets to participate when walking the aisle. However, this is not all.
And they would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling modders!
A mod named MissyHissy planned to enrich the game with some additional content on her own, mostly that which is missing from My Wedding Stories. While searching through the game files she discovered, however, that some of the elements she was interested in are already present in the game.
MissyHissy found icons that were supposed to appear in the game. They suggest that a wedding blessing could have had a variety of consequences.
In case it is performed, sims were supposed to receive positive effects, such as increased happiness level. However, the blessing might not have been given. Such a scenario would result in anger, wrath or sadness.
In the final version of the DLC, however, this activity has no meaning. Sims always receive a blessing and it has no effect on them. The modder's discovery proves that this is another element that was cut from My Wedding Stories.
Fortunately, MissyHissy is already working on incorporating the above reactions into the game. So in time, players should benefit from the features that were cut from the final version of the DLC. You can find information about this on the modder's Twitter account.
