The Quarry - New Game From Until Dawn Devs has Gone Gold
The work on The Quarry has been finished. This means that the release planned for June is not threatened anymore.
I have good news for fans of horror adventure games. Supermassive Games studio announced on Twitter that The Quarry has gone gold. This means that work on it has been completed and we no longer have to worry about any delays (casus of Cyberpunk 2077 was an extremely rare exception from this rule).
The Quarry is being developed for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game's release is scheduled for June 10 this year, simultaneously on all hardware platforms.
It is worth mentioning that the day before yesterday IGN published an interesting video from The Quarry (below). Game's director, Will Byles, describes in it, among others extensive gameplay customization options. The players will be able to disable gameplay elements they do not like, such as QTE sequences.
There will also be a cinematic mode, in which we will only watch the events taking place on screen, without any interaction. In this case, it will also be possible to set many parameters (such as overall style of the story or character of the main cast), which will affect the development of the plot.
