Fresh news about The Outer Worlds, i.e. the new RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, are coming in hot around the clock these days. This time, we have learned some new things about the planned length of the game.
In an interview for Game Informer, the developers revealed that The Outer Worlds should take between 15 and 40 hours to complete, depending on which gameplay style we choose. Those who prefer a sneaky approach will spend more time playing with the game than players betting on open confrontations. All in all, the title is to be a bit smaller than the teams debut production, i.e. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords.
Of course, the production will offer many side missions, which will be able to extend the gameplay. All in all, however, The Outer Worlds is supposed to be a medium sized production and the authors warn not to expect a big RPG for hundreds of hours.
While designing the game, the developers decided that instead of creating a giant world, for which they did not have a budget either way, it would be better to focus on a smaller, but more elaborate production. The creators want the campaign to be replayable many times without the feeling of fatigue.
Let's recall that The Outer Worlds is coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. For the time being, the exact release date has not been announced, but the developers assure that it will take place this year. It's worth mentioning that a few days ago we wrote about a large batch of new info about the project.
