The official reveal of Call of Duty: WWII is here

The reveal of a new Call of Duty game is rarely a surprise, but it always comes with lots of excitement. The same is true for the announcement of Call of Duty: WWII. See the first trailer here.

Activision has lifted the curtain of silence – the much anticipated Call of Duty: WWII has just been officially revealed. After several modern-to-future Call of Duty games, this year’s installment, in development by Sledgehammer Games, is really taking us back to World War II. Apart from the very first trailer, which starts with a classic Omaha beach landing scene, the publisher shared a bunch of info about the game itself. Its single player campaign is going to tell an emotional story, darker and more personal than what CoD fans are used to.

Call of Duty: WWII is slated for release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 3, 2017. Before the full release, the game will have a multiplayer beta (first on PlayStation 4).

Even before the reveal fans dug up some vague information about the limited Pro Edition, the game’s season pass (which is not a big surprise, really), PlayStation 4 beta, and a real-life hat added to pre-orders.
