Liv Tyler, as fans of The Lord of the Rings are well aware, played the role of Arwen. For many actors, taking part in Peter Jackson's iconic trilogy to adapt the works of J.R.R. Tolkien was a dream come true. However, Tyler noted that performing in such shows was also a challenge, making some days on set can be really tough.

During an interview with IGN, Liv Tyler talked about how during her “worst days” on the set of The Lord of the Rings she had only one dream. She wanted to experience something completely different, more peaceful than what happened in LOTR.

On my worst days on The Lord of the Rings, when I was like so uncomfortable – my dress swayed so much and my ears were itching – I would think: I just wish I could just do a scene with another actor in a diner where we were just talking.

To the actress' surprise, her dream came true pretty quickly with a film with Ben Affleck. Shortly after completing LOTR, Liv Tyler starred in 2004's Jersey Girl, a romantic comedy whose setting was diametrically opposed to The Lord of the Rings. What's even stranger, however, is that she got her dream scene in a diner on her very first day on set.

And on my first day on Jersey Girl I was sitting in a diner with Ben Affleck, talking. It was a really weird moment because I kind of went, wow! Because that was what I wished for, for just that relaxed quality.

It's interesting how dreams sometimes really can come true, and sooner than we might expect. Liv Tyler, in accordance with her wish, was given the chance to play something quieter, which would allow her to relax on the set after her hardships in the fantasy LOTR.
