The latest AMD drivers have implemented Freesync technology support
AMD has released the latest drivers marked with number 15.3. AMD Freesync technology support is the most important new addition. Of course, features such as new Crossfire profiles were also included, and various bugs were fixed.
AMD has released Catalyst 15.3 beta drivers, supporting Windows (7 i 8.1) operational systems, for the users of the company’s graphics cards. The drivers work with Radeon R5, R7, R8, R9, HD 5000 – 8000. The most important new feature is the addition of AMD Freesync technology support for single GPU configurations. This solution deals with synchronizing the image, offsetting the effects of tearing and stuttering, and reducing input lag which is sometimes troublesome in the case of the commonly used V-Sync. You can find more details on the official website of AMD. Apart from the above additions, Crossfire profiles have also been updated for the following games:
- Battlefield Hardline,
- Evolve,
- Far Cry 4,
- Lords of the Fallen,
- Project Cars,
- Total War: Attila,
- Alien Isolation,
- Assassin's Creed Unity,
- Civilization - Beyond Earth,
- FIFA 2015,
- Grid Autosport,
- Ryse: Son of Rome,
- Talos Principle,
- The Crew.
Various improvements have been implemented as well, including the elimination of cloud flickering in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for some cards with Radeon HD 5800 series, or removing image tearing (stuttering) in Dragon Age: Inquisition in various configurations using AMD GPUs.
