The Last of Us Remake Got First Patch in 7 Months on PS5; New T-shirts
The Last of Us Remake has received new patches. On PC, the camera was improved, and the PS5 version received, among other things, new t-shirts for Ellie.
Naughty Dog doesn't stop working on The Last of Us Part I. The team has just released new updates for both the PlayStation 5 release and the recent PC port of this remake.
The Last of Us Part I - what's new in the PS5 version
Let's start with the patch for the PS5 version of the game. It has been marked with number 1.03 and is the first update for the console edition in seven months.
- The patch introduces a set of alternative costumes for Ellie in the form of t-shirts with the logos of Mortal Kombat II (which is a reference to the TV adaptation) and The Wire.
- The update also reworks a number of small gameplay elements (e.g., increasing the shotgun's rate of fire or removing the situation when enemies beg for their lives when the player character cannot easily reach them).
- Dozens of bugs have also been fixed and accessibility features have been improved.
Patch for The Last of Us Part I on PC
Naughty Dog is also continuing to fix the disappointing PC version of the game. The new patch for the PC release is marked with number 1.0.2.1. It's a small patch that fixes the problem with the camera cropping when playing on mouse and keyboard.
Recall that the PC edition has already received a number of updates since its release. The largest of these, weighing 14 GB, was released last week. It fixed more than forty bugs, but the game could still use a lot more fixing.
Despite this, the efforts of the developers are slowly bringing the expected results, as is well demonstrated by the reception of The Last of Us Part I on Steam. Immediately after the release, only 33% of player reviews praised the port, while now it is 50%.
