The Last of Us on PC With 45 New Fixes; Effects Visible on Steam

Naughty Dog has not stopped patching the PC edition of The Last of Us: Part I. The latest patch fixes many of the game's visual issues. On Steam, the effect of fixing is becoming apparent.

Naughty Dog has released another patch for the PC version of The Last of Us: Part I.

The Last of Us: Part I on PC - what's new in patch 1.0.3.0

The update has been given the number 1.0.3.0 and it brings 45 changes (that's how many items we find on the full list).

  1. The developers, first of all, introduced numerous fixes for visual bugs that caused, for example, lowered texture quality, strange image distortion when using flashlight or pixelated water.
  2. A number of bugs causing the program to freeze were also removed.
  3. The game now more accurately reports the progress of shader compilation.
  4. In the controls menu the players can finally change the purpose of the arrows on the keyboard.

Overall, the changes make the game more stable and reduce the number of visual bugs and controls problems.

The reception of The Last of Us: Part I on PC is slowly improving.

The PC version of the game on the day of its release turned out to be disastrous and since its release Naughty Dog together with Iron Galaxy have been regularly releasing new updates.

Patches have already improved many elements of the game, but there is still left to be done. Nevertheless, the developers' efforts are bearing fruit, slowly improving the reception of the PC edition of The Last of Us: Part I. This can be seen well on Steam, where immediately after the release only 33% of player reviews praised the port, while now it is 51%. This enabled the service to change the game's reception from "mostly negative" to "mixed."
