Kingdom Come: Deliverance Devs Mention New Game in Job Offer
A new job offer from Warhorse tells a little about what the developers of Kingdom Come: Deliverance are currently working on. Many gamers are betting that it's about a sequel to that RPG, but it hasn't been officially confirmed yet.
Job postings from development studios are often an interesting source of reports on unannounced projects. The latest example of this has become Warhorse, studio known for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It has been five years, and during that time the team has rarely shared information about what they are currently up to, so every new scrap of information piques our interest.
- Warhose is looking for a cutscene designer.
- The employee will direct the videos that drive the storyline in the upcoming AAA game.
- Experience working with CryEngine or similar technology is welcome.
The offer did not mention which game specifically is involved, but virtually everyone expects it to be a sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance. We know that the studio has been working on something new for quite some time, and a sequel seems to be the most natural candidate for the team's next project, especially considering how great a financial success the first game turned out to be.
It is worth noting that the next game from Warhose seems to be powered by CryEngine. Kingdom Come: Deliverance was also developed on this technology, so using it in the sequel would be a natural move for the developer.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released in February 2018 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and the game received four story DLCS in the form of From the Ashes (July 2018), The Amorous Adventures of Sir Hans Capon (October 2018), Band of Bastards (February 2019), and A Woman's Lot (May 2019). Most likely, it was only after the release of the last of these DLCs that Warhorse fully committed to working on its new game.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is also expected to come to the Nintendo Switch console in the future, but for now the developers are not ready to give a release date for this edition.
