The Invincible Now in Beta Phase
Work on The Invincible, a sci-fi game based on a work by famous novel writer Stanislaw Lem, is proceeding smoothly. The developers have announced that the project has left the alpha phase and is currently in beta.
Starward Industries informed [in Polish] about progress of work on The Invincible. The game based on Stanislaw Lem's prose has left the alpha stage and is now in beta.
The alpha was supposed to be completed last December. Currently, the devs are adding new elements and prepare the final versions of the previously developed ones. At this stage, voice actors (previously present on a limited scale, as part of testing) and motion capture sessions are also being recorded.
Starward Industries' CEO commented on the new stage of work as follows:
"In the past quarter we completed work on the Alpha version of The Invincible. This marks the beginning of a more exciting phase of production work, namely the Beta version. This is the stage where the final quality of individual elements of the game begins to emerge. It's a stage in which the already created fragments of the game are enriched and condensed, placeholders are replaced with final ones."
The work is progressing at a good pace, which gives us hope that the game will be released this year. Unfortunately, for now the creators are not ready to give a more precise date.
In the announcement the devs also boasted that a trailer for The Invincible has been uploaded to the studio's YouTube channel and the video title Chronicles vol.1 has already been viewed more than one million times. Such achievements are important for the project, as it is about to reach a stage where the studio will be able to present a playable version to potential partners. Only after these talks will the team decide whether to release the game on their own or with the help of a publisher.
The Invincible is scheduled for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Two weeks ago the devs revealed the system requirements for the PC edition.
