The Expanse Season 5 Trailer Shows Off Amazon's Budget
Amazon presented the first trailer of the fifth season of The Expanse at Comic-Con in New York. When can we expect the premiere on Amazon Prime Video?
Amazon decided last year to continue with the science fiction series The Expanse, ordering its fifth season. Now we have seen its trailer, which was released on the occasion of the New York Comic-Con 2020 event and you can really see Amazon's money at work already in the first scenes. The premiere of the fifth season of The Expanse will take place on December 16, 2020, i.e. after a year of break, almost to the day. If you're not up to date with the series yet, we would like to warn that the following trailer may contain a large dose of spoilers.
Amazon has revealed that the upcoming season of The Expanse will consist of ten episodes, just like season four. On the day of premiere we will receive three episodes - more will appear every week. The release of the fifth season finale will take place on February 3, 2021. There is a fierce struggle for power between the factions in the Solar System. The new season will be a direct continuation of the events from the previous one - it is to be based mainly on James S.A. Corey's book Nemezis Game.
Space opera The Expanse, which debuted in 2015 and is featured among the best science fiction series in history, is available in in Amazon Prime Video. It was taken over two years ago from SyFy, which decided to cancel it due to low view figures.
