10-minute Gameplay From The Expanse; Requirements Revealed

Telltale Games and Deck Nine have unveiled nearly ten minutes of video footage from The Expanse: A Telltale Series. On the same occasion, we learned the game's official system requirements.

After a long silence following the announcement of the game at The Game Awards 2021, Telltale Games and Deck Nine studios finally unveiled The Expanse: A Telltale Series via a gameplay trailer shown at IGN Fan Fest. Now the developers have also released nearly ten minutes of new gameplay footage with commentary from the developers - co-writer Zak Garriss and game director Stephen Frost.

"This is a game from Telltale, so we're trying to focus on the story. We also wanted to add a bit of variety to our vision and make sure that we take advantage of elements such as the lack of gravity during exploration. In addition, we have cinematic sequences that you know from Deck Nine's narrative games. In addition, we're trying to give this game the characteristics typical of Telltale works. Part of this will also include making very difficult decisions," said Frost

The footage shows protagonist Camina Drummer (played by actress Cara Gee, the same as in the show) exploring a relatively large 3D space in 0 gravity, which the developers suggest is supposed to be unique to the adventure game genre. In addition, Frost said that the situations we will witness during the expeditions, decisions and items found will shape the relationships between characters.

"This is very cool. It also enables us to continue the story by interacting with environmental elements. We jump from different ship remnants, discover things in the environment, and our crew comments on things we find. I love it - every gameplay mechanic, exploration, discovering and acquiring items, it all comes down to the characters."

The Expanse: A Telltale Series, which is set before the events depicted in the show, will debut this summer on PC and consoles. The game's page on Epic Games Store has posted the game's system requirements, which are quite low.
