Players have various problems with The Binding of Isaac Online Beta. Multiplayer feature is not yet very stable.
The Binding of Isaac Rebirth seems immortal. Even after over 9 years from the release, the title attracts thousands of players. It is probably due to the fact that the game is still polished by new content and many mods. Even now, after so much time, Isaac is going to be multiplayer. Sadly, a large number of players have serious problems with multiplayer. Many of them report that the game crashes and lags, which makes the title impossible to play. As of now, there are no workarounds of these problems.
We need to remember that the feature is in Beta or even Alpha state. Developers do not hide it, and openly admit even to the possibility of loosing saves.
If you experience problems with the title, remember to remove all mods. Even after uninstalling, there may be some remaining files left. What is more, make sure to backup your saves, as they can be corrupted.
How to Report Bugs in The Binding of Isaac Online Beta
Remember that the main reason of this playtest is not to simply play the game in coop but to polish the title and remove all potential bugs. Because of that, you should inform developers about technical issues:
