Beautiful, Realistic Shooter Went Through Small Revolution. Groundbreaking Update Introduces Important New Feature to Arma Reforger
Bohemia Interactive studio released the Reinforcements update for the Arma Reforger game. Prepare orders for soldiers, as you will finally lead your own squad.
The latest update to the beautiful, heavily focused on realism shooter Arma Reforger turned out to be a small revolution. The devs have introduced a huge number of new features, which will particularly appeal to players who love giving commands. From now on, during the game, we will be able to command soldiers from our unit.
This possibility was introduced by a huge update 1.2 called Reinforcements prepared by Bohemia Interactive studio. Below you will find a handful of new features, while the rest can be checked directly in the post published by the developers.
- Giving commands - players will finally be able to command soldiers controlled by AI. After issuing the appropriate command, our companions will stand in place, help a colleague, defend a designated point, or get out of the vehicle (or get into it).
- Soldiers will also drive a car. Moreover, they will also handle the weapon located on it.
- UH-1H and Mi-8MT helicopters received gun turrets to better protect comrades fighting on the ground. The new threat from the air significantly changes the dynamics on the battlefield.
- Three items were also introduced to the game: flares, explosive charges, and bayonets.
You can see how the mentioned improvements look in practice in the trailer below. Issuing commands to AI soldiers appears to be a particularly promising option, as it will enable the creation of more meaningful cooperative missions.
Perhaps thanks to this huge update, the devs will be able to slightly increase the percentage of positive game reviews on Steam. Currently, the shooter has "mixed" opinions - users of Valve's platform gave almost 13,400 reviews, but only about 68% of them praised the title.
