The Ascent Devs Are Working to Improve the Xbox Game Pass Version
Tor Frick, co-founder of Neon Giant, the studio responsible for The Ascent, addressed the criticism of the Xbox Game Pass version of the game on Twitter.
Despite positive early reviews, The Ascent - a cyberpunk action RPG that was released last Thursday - is struggling with a few issues on Xbox Game Pass. As reported by the players, this edition of the game lacks several visuals aspects that we can find on Steam.
First of all, the users report lack of support for DLSS and ray-tracing. Some also complain about the lack of options to change difficulty level and even long loading times. We will encounter all these inconveniences only if we download The Ascent from Xbox Game Pass on PC.
Neon Giant's co-founder Tor Frick, addressed most of the allegations on Twitter. He admitted that the developers are working on "bridging" both versions and want to do it as soon as possible. Furthermore, Frick stressed that the Xbox Game Pass edition is very different in technical terms from the Steam version, so the process of fixing these bugs will take some time.
The Ascent is available on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Swedish independent studio Neon Giant is responsible for the game.
