TES5: Skyrim Special Edition Mod Overhauls TPP Mode
Another modification for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition has been released. Its task is to overhaul the TPP mode. It introduces, among others, the ability to freely rotate the camera and the option to lock the view on the target.
- The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition got a new mod - True Directional Movement - Modernized Third Person Gameplay;
- As the name suggests, it upgrades the third-person view in the game.
As you know, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim can be played in two modes - first person and third person. Both have their supporters, although there's no denying that in terms of refinement FPP dominates over TPP. However, Bethesda's famous game is known for the fact that if something in it does not work, sooner or later the community will fix it. This is also the case here. Since the release of the title there have already been several mods aimed at increasing the usefulness of the third-person mode in the game. The latest, prepared by a certain Ersh, is called True Directional Movement - Modernized Third Person Gameplay and is intended for the Special Edition of the fifth installment of the iconic RPG series.
Why you should be interested in True Directional Movement - Modernized Third Person Gameplay? First of all, it offers the option to truly move in any direction. As the author emphasizes, in contrast to other modifications of this type, his work does not try to "fake" this effect by using clever tricks. The character's rotation has been fully modified, and thus melee attacks, sprinting and other such actions work completely correctly in this regard.
The ability to rotate 360 degrees alone is the starting point for a whole host of other attractions. To further enhance the gameplay in Skyrim Special Edition Ersh introduced the option of locking the view on the enemy, which makes fighting much easier and smoother, support for aiming with ranged weapons and spells or general improvements in terms of camera work. The creator has also added new health bars, including special larger ones showing the status of bosses. You can see how it looks in action in the footage below.
It's also worth noting that True Directional Movement - Modernized Third Person Gameplay's options can be freely configured. So if any of the mod's elements is not to your liking, nothing stands in the way of turning it off.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition debuted in October 2016. The title is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One (as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S thanks to backward compatibility) and Nintendo Switch.
