Techtonica - How to Get Atlantum Ore
In Techtonica, you have to unlock many resources needed to progress the story. One of them is Atlantum Ore. Find out how to get it in this guide.
In the simulation-strategy Techtonica, expanding and optimizing your factory is the most important objective. However, some of the key resources are unlocked or found by going through the game’s storyline. Atlantum Ore is one of them. It’s needed not only for production, but to unlock the 6th tier of the Tech Tree. Here is how to find and obtain it.
Atlantum Ore in Techtonica – Location
Are you close to unlocking the 6th tier in the Tech Tree, but missing Atlantum Ore? Do not worry – it’s easy to find as long as you follow along with the storyline.
At some point, you should receive an Emergency Beacon. The location can be found down the river, past the Production Terminal Victor, to the right. You should find a narrow passage with glowing yellow plants.
You can also make use of the Fanmade map to orient yourself.
You will come across Atlantum Ore blocking your way. The material is recognizable by the green veins on its surface.
You can get past it using Mining Charges. To produce the Mining Charge, you will need to process Plantmatter and obtain Silverthorn Extract.
Prepare a lot of these devices, between 40 and 80. In order to gather Atlantum Ore effectively later you are going to need the MK2 Miner. It’s found on the Tech Tree at tier 6, which means that if you want to automate mining this resource, you need to obtain 450 Atlantum Ore first via different means, in addition to:
- 900 Iron Ingots
- 900 Copper Ingots
- 900 Processor Units
Once you’ve removed the Atlantum blocking the way to the ship sending a Distress Signal in the story, you will find veins in the same location.
