Tales from the Borderlands Sequel Leaked - Release Date and New Characters
Thanks to Amazon, we learned the likely release date and details of the upcoming sequel to Tales from the Borderlands, including its title and plot outline (unrelated to the first part).
Tales from the Borderlands is a game that moved the characters known from the iconic shooter series into the adventure game genre, where actual gameplay was only a minor part of the experience and the story came to the fore. In April of this year, Gearbox Software announced that this unique title would receive a sequel, and today we learned of its possible release date.
Twitter user Wario64 published a post containing links to the sales offer of New Tales from the Borderlands on Amazon. From the information presented there, it appears that the title would be released on October 21, 2022.
The description published with the product also introduces, among other things, the story outline of the new Tales from the Borderlands. We know that we will have the chance to participate in the adventures of Anu, her brother Octavio and Fran. The game will be divided into five parts, which are expected to create a brand new, "thrilling story of fame, revenge and innovative visions of the universe."
The links provided led to store cards for the console versions, including for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One and Series X. Two hours after the original post was published, the links no longer work, but we have preserved their content in the screenshot above.
In addition,in his tweet (also already deleted incidentally) Wario64 stated that the price of the game in the Deluxe edition is $49.99.
Finally, we note that this is not official message from the developers of the game - but we can consider the product cards from Amazon a reliable source of information. Their appearance presumably represents a false start before the planned presentation of New Tales from the Borderlands at gamescom, which will take place next week.
