AMD Patents its own Ray Tracing Solution
It seems that AMD has been working on its own idea for ray tracing hardware for some time now. In 2017, the company patented a hybrid solution to allow more flexible use of ray tracing. It cannot be ruled out that the variant of this technology will appear in PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett.

Quake 2 RTX Release Date; Remake Will be Partially Free
