Suicide Squad May be Delayed Even More Than Schreier Reported

According to new reports, the delay of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League may be much larger than initially expected.

The day before yesterday we heard rumors about another delay of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the next project from Rocksteady, studio known for Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight. The latest reports suggest that the delay may be much greater than initially expected.

  1. The source of this new information is the usually very knowledgeable journalist Jeff Grubb, who revealed it in the recent episode of the Game Mess podcast.
  2. According to Grubb, there is a good chance that the release of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be postponed until 2024.
  3. Earlier rumors, coming from Jason Schreier, spoke of the end of 2023.
  4. However, Grubb stresses that he received the information about possible release only in 2024 from one of his most trusted sources.

Recall that for now, the release is still officially set for May 26, this year (on PC, PS5 and XSX/S). The next delay, of the game, whether by just a few months or until 2024, will be another example of how much trouble Rocksteady is having with this project. After all, soon 8 whole years will have passed since the release of its previous game, Batman: Arkham Knight.

However, postponing the release to 2024 may be a good move. The recent gameplay demonstration was met with a disastrous reception. Rumors of a several-month delay claimed that the devs did not intend to change the gameplay and network elements and only needed more time to polish the project. However, an additional year or more dedicated to the work would allow for changes to these heavily criticized elements, and judging by player feedback - the title badly needs it.
