At the end of April, Stellar Blade will be released on PlayStation 5, which - as we learned today - has already been gold-certified. Shift Up studio's game is ready for release, but the devs have decided to prepare a so-called "day one patch" for this action RPG.

On the day of its debut, Stellar Blade is to receive an update with minor fixes that will eliminate errors found in the available demo. The game's director, Kim Hyung-Tae, mentioned this in one of his conversations with the industry media. He and Lee Dong Gi, the production's technical director, also gave an interview to the Japanese-language PlayStation Blog. They revealed that five years after the announcement, the game was finished. The announcement of the title reaching the so-called gold status was also made on X.

A few other interesting details also came up in the interview. The developers explained how the idea for the game was born, what movie they were inspired by when developing it, and also said more about how many frames per second Stellar Blade will run at.

I think frame rate is one of the most important factors for action games. Stellar Blade offers three modes: Performance Mode, Balanced Mode, and Resolution Mode. Performance Mode supports gameplay at 1440p and 60fps, while Balanced Mode can achieve 50 to 60 fps for 4K resolution -- said Kim Hyung-Tae.

If you want to check out Stellar Blade before its release, you can play the aforementioned demo. It's worth noting that it receives very good ratings from PlayStation Network users. The demo version of the game has received over 11 thousand ratings, with an average score of 4.81 out of 5. Let's remind that the game will be released on April 26 on PlayStation 5 (it is also expected to be released on PC at a later date).
