'Making This Kind of Game Has Always Been a Dream for Me.' Stellar Blade Action RPG Devs Reveal Bosses and Locations Inspired by Ruined Buildings From Their Homeland
The developers of Stellar Blade once again told us about their game, which will be released on the market in 3 days. Representatives of the Shift Up studio touched on issues such as the combat system, locations, and bosses.
Stellar Blade is definitely the most anticipated release of the week. However, before we take the controllers in our hands, it is worth watching the new video from the devs of this action RPG, which appeared today on the official PlayStation channel on YouTube.
This is a continuation of "The Journey," a story about the behind-the-scenes work on the title. The employees of the Shift Up studio also presented us with some interesting issues related to the game, and also briefly told us how it became a PlayStation "exclusive."
Several developers involved in the project appeared in front of the camera, including, of course, the company's CEO and director of Stellar Blade - Kim Hyung Tae. The game's main designer, Hyung Min Lee, and level designer, Jiyeon Lee, also made an appearance alongside him.
What topics did the developers tackle this time?
- We discovered that the deteriorated buildings in South Korea (the home country of the devs) served as inspiration for creating diverse structures in the game.
- We were told more about the locations: the city of Xion, space, and deserts.
- The developers discussed the combat system. When designing it, they were inspired by such titles as God of War, Sekiro, and Dark Souls.
- We also heard more about the bosses.Players are expected to face at least three of them on each map. Among them will be creatures named Gigas, Stalker, and Abaddon.
I've been making games for about 30 years and making this kind of game has always been a dream for me -- said Kim Hyung Tae.
The dev also added that this game should be appreciated primarily by people who love single player titles. He also wished all the players to have a good time while playing.
Let us remind you that the premiere of Stellar Blade is scheduled for April 26. If you would like to check out Eve's adventures earlier, you can download the demo version. The game became a real hit - some players spent up to 50 hours in it, although it offered about 1-2 hours of fun.
