SteamWorld Headhunter Announced

SteamWorld Headhunter, the next installment of the popular brand from Image & Form studio, has been announced. This time we get an action adventure game focused on co-op mode.

Image &Form announced its latest project. It turned out to be SteamWorld Headhunter. It is an action adventure game, and the first installment of the SteamWorld brand to be made in 3D.

Unfortunately, the information provided by the devs is extremely limited. We know that the game will focus on co-op mode and will be based on a very unusual idea, but no details were revealed. Moreover, the devs ensure that despite the abandonment of two-dimensional graphics, the unique atmosphere of the brand will be preserved.

That's the end of the information provided by the creators. Neither the planned release date nor the hardware platforms were given, but judging by the studio's recent productions, a PC version seems certain.

The brand is known for its great diversity of genres. Among the games belonging to it we can find the strategy game SteamWorld Tower Defense, platformers SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Dig 2 (here it is worth mentioning that currently this game is available for free on Steam), turn-based game SteamWorld Heist and the RPG SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech. The transition to 3D should open up many new possibilities for the devs, so we are curious what they will offer in SteamWorld Headhunter.

The Gunk - release date

It is worth mentioning that the announced game is not the only one that Image & Form is working on. The studio is also developing The Gunk and the creators have just announced that the title will debut on December 16, this year. The game will simultaneously hit PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

The game is a new brand, which is important because the team's last game that was not part of SteamWorld was the 2011 mobile game Anthill.
