Steam Reaches New Activity Record
Competition can double and triple, but it seems that Steam's position is still very strong. This is undoubtedly evidenced by the fact that the platform has once again broken its record of simultaneous logged-in users and has come close to 20 million.
- Steam once again broke the record of simultaneously logged in users.
- The previous record, from February 2020, was beaten by almost a million players.
- On Saturday, almost 20 million users were logged in to the platform.
Despite the considerable pressure from the competition, Steam is doing well and has once again broken the record of simultaneous users using the platform. According to the statistics published on the platform, yesterday, around 4:00 pm GMT+1, 19 728 027 players were logged in.
The previous record was set relatively recently, in February this year. The number of active users was then by almost one million lower.
We stay home and... play!
It shouldn't come as a big surprise that at the same time the most popular Steam titles also recorded very good results. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive had more than a million players at the hottest moment, DOTA 2 was running on 694,829 PCs, and 525,462 people were playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and the top five was closed by Rainbow Six Siege and GTA 5 with results of just under 200,000 players.
In light of the global restrictions due to the novel coronavirus, the current situation is something that could be expected, as many people around the world simply have more time to play games. Let's get cracking then!
