Steam Adds Initial Support for DualSense Controller
The test version of an update for Steam client added initial support for the DualSense controller. Developers promise full implementation in subsequent versions of the app.
- The new update for Steam has added initial support for the DualSense controller.
- Further versions will bring full support.
The new Steam client test update has added support for Xbox Series X and PS5 controllers. In the case of DualSense this is only the initial support for the time being, which will be expanded with other features in subsequent versions.
Until now, the PS5 controller has been detected as a normal USB hardware. When the new beta of Steam client is installed, the program will correctly detect it as DualSense. Subsequent updates will bring full support for haptic vibrations, adaptive triggers, touchpad, and motion control.
So if you bought the DualSense controller before the launch of PlayStation 5 and have a PC, you can use it after the Steam update, while waiting for full support.
