Starfield's First Patch is Here and It's Over 13 GB
Although Starfield has not yet debuted, Bethesda has already released the first patch for the game. It has also been confirmed that the title will run on two popular mobile devices.
Bethesda has released the Day One Patch (v.1.7.23.0) for Starfield, which fixes the few (surprisingly few even) bugs appearing in the game. Let's note that this hyped game will launch in early access this week.
Patch weighing at least 13 GB
Famous leaker Idle Sloth informed on X (Twitter) about the possibility of downloading the Day One Patch on Xbox consoles and PC, which varies in size depending on the platform.
- PC - 13.4 GB
- Xbox Series X/S - 15.48 GB
The aforementioned leaker also showed the total amount of disk space needed by Starfield on the Xbox Series X console with the patch already installed - ultimately, the game weighs in at 101.1 GB.
Interestingly, in the replies under the post, another player added a screenshot showing information that for Xbox Series S Starfield with the patch installed needs 107.8 GB of free space.
Insider Gaming, on the other hand published details of the first patch for Starfield. The website also confirmed that the game will run on both Steam Deck and ROG Ally, although there was also a rather odd mention - "it's important that both devices meet the minimum requirements, otherwise they may not run the game". This suggests that gamers looking to fire up Starfield on these devices may experience performance problems.
