How to Fix Sea of Stars Crashing

Sea of Stars is a very warmly received RPG, which with its mechanics and visuals resembles the iconic Chrono Trigger. Currently on Steam, the game has as much as 97% positive of reviews. Unfortunately, the title is not free of bugs, which some players point out. In this guide you will learn how to fix the crashes problem in Sea of Stars, which appears during the launch of the game on PC.
Crash when launching Sea of Stars
Some players have noticed a problem that occurs during the launch of the game on PC. Just after the developer's name appears, we see a message which says "Sea of Stars has stopped working message." Unfortunately, reinstalling the game, updating the drivers, or unplugging or reconnecting the gamepad does not help.
Thanks to the vigilant Steam users it turned out, however, that crash can be gotten rid of by deleting a certain file, which is located in the following location:
- Sea of Stars\SeaOfStars_Data\Plugins\x86_64\lib_burst_generated.dll
However, it should be noted that it is not known, for the time being, what the said file is responsible for, so you remove it at your own risk. If you do want to get rid of it, it is wise to make a copy beforehand so that you can paste it back in case such a procedure brings some unexpected results.
Waiting for a patch for Sea of Stars
Another way is to simply wait for an update, in which the developers will fix the problem. However, it is not known when such a patch should be expected, but considering that Sea of Stars debuted today, i.e. August 29, and additionally enjoys many positive reviews, there is a good chance that you will not have to wait long.
