Bethesda continues to patch its space RPG. Starfield will soon receive more promised features: official DLSS support on PC and HDR options, though only in beta for now (via Twitter).

According to the developers, a test update will be made available next week, enabling players to test Nvidia's technology on PCs. It will also introduce game optimization fixes on both platforms (i.e. PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles). We'll have to wait until the next patch for official support of AMD Fidelity FX's competitive Super Resolution feature - possibly on consoles as well.

The update will be available through the "Beta" feature on Steam, which can be found in the game's "Properties" in Library. More information on the content of the patch will be announced at a later date.

Support for DLSS and FSR technologies was one of the features that players demanded right after the release of Starfield and one of the many fixes promised by Bethesda a week after the game's debut. So far, the developer has realized only one of them: adding an option to change field of view. In the case of DLSS, it was preceded by modders, who already in late August and early September added unofficial support for this technoilogy.
