Starfield Launch May Have Been Pushed to Second Half of 2023
According to the latest leaks, the release of Starfield could have bene postponed to the second half of 2023. The title is expected to be released during the summer holiday season.
Bethesda may postpone the release of Starfield again. The revelations come from an content creator by the handle MrMattyPlays. In the latest episode of the Defining Duke podcast he revealed that, according to his sources, the release of Starfield has been postponed until the second half of the year. However, it wouldn't be felt too much, as the title is expected to be released during the summer. So we can expect Bethesda's space sandbox to hit our hands in July or, more likely, August.
Of course, it should be kept in mind that these are only unconfirmed information. Whether they will turn out to be true, we will probably find out at the show dedicated to Starfield, which is expected to take place in the near future, shortly after the Developer_Direct event scheduled for January 25.
It must be admitted that the alleged delay could have a reasonable basis, if we look at previous reports on Microsoft's game launches. According to recent rumors, Redfall, the latest game from Arkane Studios, is scheduled to come out on May 2. In addition, there are also plans for a spring release of Forza Motorsport. The three major debuts could therefore provide unnecessary competition for each other and disrupt the publisher's results for the entire fiscal year.
