Star Wars Obi-Wan Planned for One Season Only
Actor Even McGregor informed that Disney's Star Wars series about Obi-Wan Kenobi is planned for one season only. We also found out when the filming is to start.
Evan McGregor revealed that only one season is planned for the series starring Obi-Wan Kenobi. The project was designed to show a complete story. The actor revealed the information in an interview for Entertainment Tonight.
However, it is worth noting that McGregor was only talking about current plans. The way he formulated it does not definitely close the gate before a possible second season. If the project is successful, we expect Disney to be interested in developing a follow-up.
Ewan McGregor also informed that the filming is to start in spring 2021. Without knowing the production's air date it is difficult to assess whether the project has a chance to be broadcast next year or whether we will have to wait until 2022.
As you may know, this is just one of a few TV projects that are heading for the Disney+ platform. The second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian will debut next month, and the third season is already planned. We will also receive a series about the adventures of Cassian Andor, which will provide a prequel to Rogue 1. Moreover, some time ago we learned about a "female" Star Wars series, which Leslye Headland, co-founder of Russian Doll, is working on.
