Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Release Date and System Requirements
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor finally has a release date, system requirements and other details. Or rather, it had, because Electronic Arts seems to have rushed a bit too much to reveal this information on Steam.
After more than half a year of rumors and leaks Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has an official release date. On Steam information has appeared that the sequel to Fallen Order will be released on March 16, 2023.
The date has still not been announced on Epic Games Store and in Sony's store (Jedi: Survivor doesn't yet have a tab on the Microsoft Store), but it's likely to apply to PC as well as PS5 and XSX/S. Nor has there been any entry from Respawn Entertainment or Electronic Arts announcing even an approximate release date.
Anyway, the information quickly disappeared from Steam, replaced by the default "available soon." The same goes for the game's description, which was replaced with a much less elaborate one. Apparently, the developers revealed the release date prematurely.
The original had details of, among other things, the standard edition and the bonuses included with pre-orders and Special Edition. These include cosmetic items such as costumes or skins for lightsabers and - note - blasters (which confirms rumors of the addition of these weapons in Survivor) inspired by Obi-Wan, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.
In addition, the description includes mentions of new sword fighting styles, locations abounding with more nooks and crannies to explore, and previously unknown skills or enemies. The devs also revealed the system requirements:
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PC - minimum system requirements.
- Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-7700K / AMD Ryzen 5 1400
- RAM: 8 GB
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB VRAM).
- Disk space: 130 GB
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Pc - recommended system requirements.
- Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-11600K / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- RAM: 16 GB
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (8 GB VRAM).
- Disk space: 130 GB
Rumors of a debut before March 31 had been circulating for quite some time. A month ago, Electronic Arts once again mentioned a major release scheduled for early 2023. The title was not provided, but many linked it to earlier reports (including journalist Jeff Grub) and the 2021 leak from GeForce Now.
There is, of course, a chance that an alternate release date has appeared on Steam, although in that case we would rather expect to see March 31 or simply 2023. We're waiting for official confirmation - we'll probably get it at The Game Awards gala on Friday..
