Star Wars Fan Fulfills Dream in The Mandalorian
Actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee shared his experiences from his performance in The Mandalorian. He is such a big fan of Star Wars that he has several cosplay costumes and played in one of them in the show.
One of the pilots in the second episode of the second season of The Mandalorian was played by actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, known among others from Kim's Convenience. It turns out that he is a big fan of Star Wars and his performance in the series was a dream come true for him.
Many actors say thay are fans of the brands in which they appear, but in the case of Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, we are dealing with a real fanboy who has at least six cosplay outfits at home and his Instagram profile is full of pictures in these outfits. This was one of the reasons why he decided to get involved.
The costumes are so good quality that the producers asked the actor to appear on the set in one of them and eventually his costume of Rebel pilot was used during the shooting. It's not the first time the makers of The Mandalorian did something like that. At the end of the first season's production it turned out that the team responsible for the props does not have enough suits for Imperial Stormtroopers to execute the scenes planned in the script. A group of fans known as Legion 501 were asked for help, as they had their own costumes of these characters and could thus perform in the series.
Recall that the second season of The Mandalorian went on air at the end of last month on Disney+ and will close in eight episodes. There is already a third season planned, which will probably air in 2021.
