The president of Quantic Dream assured in an interview that while Star Wars: Eclipse will have more action elements, the narrative layer will provide us with everything that the team's games have accustomed us to so far.

Star Wars: Eclipse promises to be different in many ways from several previous works by Quantic Dream, mainly due to the fact that this time we will get an action adventure game rather than a purely narrative adventure. This has caused concern among some of the team's fans, so in an interview with IGN company's co-president Guillaume de Fondaumiere assured that, at least in terms of the narrative layer the game will retain the elements for which the developer is known.
Fondaumiere explained that Star Wars: Eclipse will offer:
- elaborate storyline,
- interesting characters,
- the possibility to play as several characters,
- a story that we will be able to largely shape with our own decisions.
What will be new instead will be the presence of more elaborate action mechanics, but the developers are not yet ready to reveal details about this gameplay element. It is worth mentioning that this will not be the team's first action adventure game. After all, Quantic Dream debuted in 1999 with the game Omikron: The Nomad Soul.
Finally, let us remind you that it is still unknown when we can expect the release of Star Wars: Eclipse. All we know is that the game has already left the pre-production stage.
