Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefield 1 with holiday events and freebies
Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefield 1 fans can now get some nice Christmas gifts from DICE, free digital goodies included.
This weekend DICE has some nice treats for fans of their online shooters Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefield 1. Let’s talk about the former first. From December 23 to 25 everyone who owns the original Star Wars: Battlefront will be able to play the Death Star DLC for free. Released in September 2016, this add-on introduced a new hero and villain: fan-favorite Chewbacca and a bounty hunter named Bossk, as well as four new maps. During the weekend, players will also be getting double experience points, and everyone who logs into the game will receive 5,000 credits (in-game currency). All these bonuses are going to be available across all platforms: PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 (the same goes for Battlefield 1).
As for Battlefield 1, celebration kicked off yesterday with the launch of a new custom game Blind Delivery, which is a variation of War Pigeons, with no minimap and equipment limited to handguns and explosives. Starting today, the developers are rewarding everyone with the Holiday Truce dog tag, inspired by an authentic event – during 1914’s Christmas British and German forces near Ypres agreed on a temporary ceasefire, shared gifts and even played a game of soccer (which Germany won 3:2). Besides, there is now a chance of getting two new tank skins from battlepacks: the Distinguished SchnucK and the Legendary Desert Gold. Speaking of battlepacks, from December 23 to 29 all players who login to Battlefield 1 will get one for free – in addition, Season Pass holders will get two superior battlepacks.
