Paradox Showed Gameplay Trailer for Star Trek 4X Strategy; Release Date Revealed
Paradox has released a gameplay trailer for Star Trek: Infinite - a 4X strategy set in the eponymous sci-fi universe. We also learned the game's release date and a handful of details.
As announced during this year's Summer Game Fest, Nimble Giant Entertainment and Paradox Interactive delivered a full presentation of Star Trek: Infinite - a 4X strategy set in the eponymous sci-fi universe. In addition to revealing a handful of details, a short gameplay trailer of the game was presented, available below.
In addition, from an article published on Star Trek's website we learned that Star Trek: Infinite is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2023. However, we still have to wait for the exact release date. The game is heading exclusively for PC - for now only its card has appeared on Steam (includes system requirements, if you are interested).
In Star Trek: Infinite we will be thrown into the middle of the conflict between the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. In total, we will be able to lead four factions - The United Federation of Planets, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union and the Klingon Empire.
Each of them will offer different units, missions and stories, making them slightly different to play. In addition, important gameplay elements - as befits a 4X strategy - will include exploration, managing the economy and diplomacy.
