Standalone Mod STALKER: The Journey With New Maps Now Available

The project STALKER: The Journey, a standalone mod with new maps and a campaign set two decades after the events of the trilogy by GSC World, has debuted.

Fans of the Slavic post-apocalypse await S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl, but many creative fans are still eagerly digging into older installments of the series, regularly providing us with noteworthy modifications. The latest mod of this type is The Journey for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

The project is available in two variants - standalone and as a classic mod. The first of them is in practice a free game, which does not require S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. This edition can be downloaded, among others, from our FTP (the creator of The Journey, el_chupacabra, allowed us to host a mirror). The second and much less popular variant requires the installation of files to the folder with the full version of Call of Pripyat.

Action of The Journey begins two decades after the events from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy. The factions have left the Zone and there are only a handful of people left. Nature has begun to take over the place, but it hasn't made it any safer.

The project offers a new single player campaign. The user assumes the role of a man who must fight his way to the most dangerous region of the Zone, which will require facing natural threats, animals, mutants and even plants.

The Journey offers a lot of fresh elements. During the game we will traverse seven maps. Three of them are completely original creations of the modders, and four are strongly reworked old places. The project can also boast new monsters, animals and plants.
